
Suzanne Pleshette, born January 31, 1937, died January 19 in 2008. She was an American film voice actor, TV host and voice actor. 1. Pleshette began her acting career in the theatre and then began to appear in films in the late 1950s. Later, she appeared in prominent films like Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), and Spirited Away (2001). Later, she was a part of various television productions, mainly in guest roles, and was Emily Hartley on The Bob Newhart Show from 1972 to 1978, earning several Emmy Award nominations for her work. Pleshette was the daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan), and Eugene Pleshette. She was born in Brooklyn Heights, New York City on January 31, 1937. The parents of the couple were Jewish parents of immigrants from Russia or Austria-Hungary. She was the daughter of Geraldine Rivers, a performer and dancer.
