Sharon Yvonne Stone was born on the 10th of March the year 1958 in Meadville, Pennsylvania, to the accountant Dorothy Lawson and tool and die maker as well as former worker in the factory Joseph William Stone II. Michael, Kelly and Patrick are her three siblings. Stone began the second grade when she was 5 years old. Her parents believed her as being academically gifted. Saegertown Senior High School in Saegertown Pennsylvania is where she received her diploma in 1975. A winner of Miss Crawford County, she also participated in her first Miss Pennsylvania Beauty Pageant. Stone together with her aunt in 1977, made the move to New Jersey for a modeling job. Stone signed with Ford Modeling Agency a week further. Stone soon moved to Europe and spent a full year with her aunt in Milan in Italy and Paris. However, Stone became disillusioned with the world of modeling and modeling in Europe which led her to pursue acting in Europe while she was there. At the age of 20, she appeared in Woody Allen's "Stardust Memories" which received mixed receptions.
